Precision Cutting

Plenty of safety gear, fingers well out of the way, milimeters to spare! Go Wally Go! Posted by Picasa

Skirting, my specialty!

Precision cutting, and how to compensate for errors... all part of a days work! Posted by Picasa

This is our study! Vanity waiting for the bathroom space, vacuum cleaner used on a daily basis... mess! Can 't wait for this all to return to normal! Posted by Picasa

Look at that! We got water into the bath! Still need a splash screen, but now we can actually wash! Gotta be a little careful with the water, but hopefully we'll soon have it all done! We are feeling a little relieved! K. is getting a little stressed with this project now! Posted by Picasa

Public Holiday? No problem!

Daryl showed up to work on the plumbing! We temporarily got the vanity in place for him so he could do the plumbing. We still need to do some more wall-finishing before it can be fixed in position! Ten points for showing up this Easter holiday Daryl! Posted by Picasa

Painting the ceiling...

Hard work that painting....
Fortunately for K. Jacko showed up, and painting happens to be one of his past trades. Soon enough he too was put to work! Posted by Picasa

Rip doing over time!

Easter weekend wouldn't be complete with a quick check of the walls, doing some touch-up sanding on the walls... Posted by Picasa

Just adding my profile!

Just realised I had people looking at my 'empty' profile! I better post a photo of myself and werite a blurb about it! Posted by Picasa

Getting there!

Tiling is finished! Katherine working on varnishing the floor, and we need to sand and varnish the floor and door trimmings... (skirting and architraves... The cornices we have sawn already!sewn!

Now it is Easter, but after Easter the electrician and the plumber will return! Posted by Picasa

Painstaking work! Glad we got Jeremy to do this for us! Posted by Picasa

Here she comes!

He spent the first day or two doing the plastering,... fixing up our beautiful work. Smoothing it he said... bashing in the screws etc... the seams...

The mess and the boxes of tiles...

We thought tiling would be done in a day.... Posted by Picasa

Tiling starting today!

Rip is ripping into it! Doing the final plastering touchups and he will start tiling! First he has to read the manuals...

He is a fireman from the Devonport station, I even saw him race around in the red truck last night. Posted by Picasa

Fantastic lights coming up!

The round hole is where the old shower exhaust fan was. The square hole is where we plan to put the heat-lamp/light/exhaust. Neighbour Pete has been helping out, the electrician for this project! Posted by Picasa

New bath is in!

Kevin installed the bath like a professional! He helped us get going on the plastering and told us what to get. K. and I did the rest... was only a little bit painful! Posted by Picasa

Kevin having a bath....

Kevin, another ambo medic (ex-Canberra too) lending us a couple of days! Here he is with one foot in our new bath!

 Posted by Picasa

Bigger is better....

Daryl coming to the rescue to remove a nasty beam in the floor that stops us from having a bath drain there... K. was about to get another bath! Then Daryl appears with a chainsaw and lots of courage! Posted by Picasa

Daryl doing Magic

Now which one was mine? With Daryl bigger is better. When you need him he's there in a flash with a magic tool... Posted by Picasa

All gone!

This is plumber Daryl giving us a quick hand. He is in and out in a flash and moves mountains. Here the bath is gone as is the old vanity. Posted by Picasa

Here is our old vanity slowly coming to bits. Still some wood panelling on the walls left to rip off and the bath in its original position too. Posted by Picasa

Bathroom Renovations 2006

Lovely pink bath is about to come out here. The shower cubicle wall is in the process of being dismantled now too. We were afraid it had an asbestos sheet in it (as shown), but the plumber took it out with the entire wall frame and said it wasn't asbestos. Posted by Picasa
